St. Jones Greenway Commission

The St. Jones Greenway Commission is a joint effort of the County, City and State governments. The purpose of the Commission is to preserve and enhance the cultural, historical, natural, recreational, educational and economic resources of the St. Jones River corridor. The Commission also communicates and promotes the value of Greenways to present and future residents.

The Commission is comprised of nine (9) members, with members appointed from Kent County, City of Dover and State of Delaware governments. The Commission also includes a general membership of all citizens who request to be involved, who serve as non-voting members. The nine appointed members must reside within the government jurisdiction from which they were appointed.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month. A quorum of five (5) voting members is necessary before the Commission can take any official action upon any matter before it for consideration.
