3318.01 - AQUA AEROBICS – Modern Maturity Center, Dover. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:45 – 7:45 p.m. beginning June 8 for 7 weeks. Take advantage of water’s natural resistance to get an aerobic and toning workout without the wear and tear on your joints. This program focuses on cardiovascular fitness and range of motion, and is a great workout for seniors. Participants must bring their suit and towel. Fee is $65. Minimum of 20, maximum of 25. (No class July 6 & 8.) Developed over 100 years ago, Pilates is a great way to strengthen and tone your body without pain! Properly caring for your body through this fitness regimen can help reduce fatigue and stress, as well as build stamina, increase flexibility and balance, and improve posture. Every Pilates exercise can be executed using a different approach in order to make it more comfortable for beginners of all ages or more challenging for those with a higher fitness level. A wide variety of Pilates exercises will be practiced utilizing mindfulness to improve their effectiveness. Great results in less time. A practical yoga class with emphasis on effective movement encouraging to beginners. Increased levels of intensity will be offered to keep it challenging for all. Tone and sculpt your body while burning fat, as you learn easy to follow dance moves including salsa, merengue, reggaeton, and cumbia. 3323.01 - JAZZERCISE - St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 425 North DuPont Hwy., Dover. Classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.; Mondays, Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Classes are 1 hour long and you can take 14 classes during June 14 – August 14. Jazzercise offers a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, yoga, Pilates and kickboxing movements choreographed to today’s hottest music, including Top 40, jazz, country, funk and classics. Every class includes a gentle warm-up, 30 minute aerobic workout, muscle toning and strengthening segment with weights and a stretch finale.
