Background:
On Tuesday, May 22nd, Kent County Levy Court announced that it was working with the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation (DASEF) on an agreement to dedicate 40 acres of Big Oak Park land as a permanent site for the "Center for AeroTech Education (CATE)".
Centrally located in Kent County, the CATE will provide a safe, inspirational and challenging applied learning environment for people of all ages. This location is easy to reach from all points in Delaware as well as the mid-Atlantic region. CATE will provide scientific, environmental & technical literacy opportunities. CATE will provide innovative curriculum, professional development, interactive exhibits, symposiums and conferences in an effort to enhance a desire for life long learning. This project will allow DASEF to expand their program offerings and become a beneficial, year-round resource for people of all ages.
