Commissioner George "Jody" Sweeney, the Democratic representative for the 5th Levy Court District, is currently serving in his fourth four-year term.

Family : Married to wife Crystal, Father of four (Bill, Amy, Cameron, and Skyler) and grandfather of four (Cole, Blake, Cannon and Caleb).

Education : Caesar Rodney High School; A.A.S. in Data Processing from Del-Tech Community College; B.S. in Business Administration from Wilmington University.

Employment : 40 years of experience in Information Technology, currently the Supervisor of Technology for Smyrna School District.
